    The park came under litigation soon after all the plots were sold to prospective residents in 1975.The colonizer illegaly sold part of the park to one of his relatives who happened to be a minor officer in revenue department.About half a dozen residents went to court and braved many attempts of coersion to save the park going into wrong hands and not available for enjoyment of the resdents of Nandnagar and public at large. The contribution of a Patna High Court advocate who happened to be a resident of Nandnagar has been very commendable.Ultimately the Honourable Allahabad High Court dismissed the appeal SA# 415/79 and restored the park to the residents of Nandnagar for its proper public use.This is a rare instance of what collective will and effort can do to fight wrong acts.
